day 3. 21 hours of anatomy lecture complete. 3.5 hours of tape made (haven't done today yet). feeling kind of like i still am not remembering the pertinent information. am already exhausted. must find a way to work more efficiently, so i can get more sleep. tomorrow, we start neuro. i am told that not only will the subject lend itself more to the preferred falcon learning method, but that the prof teaching it is funny and animated. that should help.
the food is not as good as promised. apparently, overcooked and doused with butter is the way that all food must be presented. the promised daily salad = chopped up iceberg lettuce...
i mean, overall the food doesn't taste bad, it just isn't healthy.
i really hope that things get better, and that my brain starts cooperating!

sorry about the food, but it is Texas. The care package should be there soon and you can buy fresh veggies and fruit at the Walmart. Keep you chin up. Love you lots. MOM
yeah, one of my "texas food stories" is when i ordered a chile relleno, it came stuffed with hamburger.
another time after getting a "green cheese enchilada" with chicken in it, i asked the waiter if the cheese enchilada had meat in it, he said "no". he was technically right as it had no meat in it, but the sauce they poured across the top had lots of hamburger in it.
i have faith that if you can survive the Sudan, you can survive Texas.
